To ensure that the elderly receive all the nutrients, it is important to make sure that they eat often but in smaller quantities. The digestion of a food can be compromised if it has too much of it or concentrates certain ingredients, such as fat, which can make them feel full faster than usual, so it is wise to avoid them in general, if possible. 

You should also consider choosing whole, low-fat foods, as this will help keep traceability levels high while providing your loved ones with the amount of vitamins and minerals they need on a daily basis, especially since many people suffer from malnutrition just because of age alone.
